• To Create an environment for effective teaching-learning by encouraging the trainees and faculty to nurture their intellectual curiosity and scientific and to hold examinations to evaluate them.
• Induction of highly qualified, talented, competent & motivated faculty, and trained & dedicated supporting technical and administrative staff.
• To familiarize trainees with the Safety, operational & Commercial facts of Indian Railway and equip them with the basic administrative skills and knowledge required for their job.
• Establishment of excellent academic support facilities (library, Model room, workshop, Simulator etc) required for good education on continuous basis.
• Provide opportunities for continuously updating the knowledge of faculty through faculty exchange from other zonal training institutions.
• Establishment of procedures and methodologies for regular monitoring and control of quality of all course modules in consultation with HQ.
• IT enabled management of all activities of institute and strengthen the on-line courses through recent developments.
